CN Receives Strike Notice from Union

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), which represents. approximately 750 employees in Canada, have provided CN with 72-hour strike notice. The union will go on strike as of 11:00 AM Eastern Time on June 18, 2022.

What you need to know:
  • CN will continue to negotiate with the union on the issue of wages and benefits
  • CN is hopeful they will reach an agreement with the union without any labour disruption
  • CN is prepared if a strike happens. A plan is in place that would ensure a normal level of continued safe operations for as long as required
