Potential August CBSA Strike

On July 27th, the two unions representing more than 8,500 Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) employees announced that the majority of their members have given them a strike mandate.  That means they could begin strike action as soon as August 6th.

Many border workers would be deemed essential but the union said strike action could slow down commercial traffic at the border, ports of entry and major shipping companies.

What can you do?  Ensure your paperwork is complete and into the broker for processing well in advance of the shipment arriving at customs
