I’ve already received my shipment. Why is more information needed?

Some shipments, especially those shipped by couriers, are released automatically or based upon the available information, However, Customs expects all the correct and accurate information to be confirmed within a specific time frame. The time frame is within 5 business days. Low-value shipments are given a bit more time; however, we prefer to keep within the 5-day time frame as the shipment details will be fresher in your mind and there is not a risk of getting AMPS penalties for failing to meet the deadlines.
