CBSA Work to Rule / Slow down – August 2021

On August 6, 2021, The Public Service Alliance of Canada confirmed the work-to-rule actions in a statement.

During a work-to-rule action, CBSA employees will follow procedures by law. This may cause long delays at the border as working will carry out their jobs as they trained.

The work-to-rule actions are at all border crossings and airports across the country.

Travellers should plan for possible delays at the border by CBSA.
