Effective 12:01 am Eastern Time, May 3, 2025, the U.S. will impose a 25% duty on imports of auto parts of passenger vehicles (sedans, sport utility vehicles, crossover utility vehicles, minivans, and cargo vans) and light trucks from all countries, under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, as amended (19 U.S.C. 1862) (Section 232).
