Requirements for Importing a Vehicle into the U.S.

A & A handles the importation of all sorts of vehicles – cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, motorhomes, travel trailers, motorcycles, scooters, jet ski’s, sea doo’s, boats and more!

To get started – the fastest way to get a quote for your vehicle is to visit www.borderbuddy.com where you can input your information and get an immediate quote emailed to you.

There are some mandatory requirements, such as the vehicle has to have an EPA compliance sticker and a US DOT sticker that states it “complies with US Federal Safety Standards”. If the vehicle does not conform, you cannot import it unless it is brought into compliance. You also need to look at the speedometer to ensure it is predominantly in US MPH, not KPH. This will need to be either switched out or a sticker put by the existing speedometer that notifies the US party that the speed is in KPH not MPH.

I am attaching forms necessary to do this, with explanatory notes and instructions for the forms included. You can forward this to him and then we can work directly with him, or I’ll work with you if you are helping him.
