Business Without Borders ®

Why is the ‘CLVS’ team emailing me for documents when I have already received my package?

This shipment is considered a low value couriered shipment. When companies like UPS/DHL/ FedEx bring goods across the border that is under $2600 in value they are only required to do a declaration on the items in the truck. The final accounting of what is actually being brought across the border with weights, values, countries of manufacture, etc. are done afterwards by either the importer if it is personal or done with a broker once the carrier has sent the information to the broker. In this case, the shipment would be delivered first then accounted for after the fact with Canada Customs.
